Using the platform to connect ADT systems to Apple Home hardly takes a few minutes. If you are not a tech-savvy or technically skilled person, setting HOOBS up will not be a headache.
Hence, for my ADT security system, I opted for the HOOBS Homebridge hub.īesides bringing the convenience of a one-time and plug-and-play setup, HOOBS packs several other benefits that make it the best choice for integrating third-party products to HomeKit. I wanted something that required a one-time setup and had a more set-and-forget nature. It is a small piece of hardware that comes pre-installed with Homebridge to integrate all your third-party smart products with HomeKit. If you have little or no know-how of programming, you might not get the hang of it.Ī Homebridge hub, on the other hand, is more effortless to set up.
ADT CONTROL PC
This is not energy-friendly unless and until you have a fixed PC system that you have to keep turned on for other means.Īs far as the setting up process is concerned, in the case of Homebridge, that is also tedious. There are two ways to approach HomeKit integration in ADT. This process is slightly more complicated than simple HomeKit integration, but it is a one-time hassle.
